What is a modular spotting scope?

Swarovski Optik's ATX, STX and BTX scopes let you choose an objective module and an eyepiece module separately, then combine them. You can pick the lens size that suits you and upgrade one part later without replacing the whole scope.

What is the difference between the ATX, STX and BTX eyepiece modules?

ATX has an angled eyepiece and STX a straight one, both for one-eyed viewing. BTX is a binocular-style module for viewing with both eyes, which many find more relaxing on long watches. The objective modules fit all three.

Which objective module should I choose: 65mm, 85mm, 95mm or 115mm?

65mm is lightest and best for walking and travel. 85mm is a great all-rounder. 95mm and 115mm are brightest and best for low light and fine detail, but heavier, so they need a sturdy tripod and are better for static viewing.
