The Opticron Explorer WA ED-R 8x42 Binoculars combine premium ED optics, an exceptionally wide field of view and a compact ergonomic design, making them an outstanding choice for birdwatching, wildlife observation, hiking and general outdoor exploration. Designed around Opticron's compact optical system, they deliver an impressive balance of performance, portability and comfort.

Featuring ED objective lenses, fully multi-coated optics and phase-corrected BAK-4 roof prisms with high light transmission R-type coatings, the Explorer WA ED-R produces bright, sharp images with excellent contrast and natural colour reproduction. The expansive 7.5° field of view makes it easy to follow moving birds and wildlife while taking in more of the surrounding landscape.

Built with a lightweight aluminium alloy and polycarbonate chassis, the binoculars are fully rubber armoured, waterproof and nitrogen filled for dependable performance in challenging outdoor conditions. Long eye relief, multi-stage twist-up eyecups and a close focus distance of just 2 metres ensure comfortable and versatile viewing for users with or without glasses.
