The Leofoto Inverted SO-282C is a refined, ultra-stable support system engineered for professionals who demand absolute reliability in challenging environments. Built around Toray 100% 10-layer carbon fibre with a cross-rhombus structure, it delivers exceptional strength, reduced vibration and impressive load handling while remaining remarkably lightweight at just 1.5kg. Despite its minimal weight, the tripod supports a maximum load of 25kg, making it an outstanding choice for large, heavy camera systems and precision optical setups.

As the first inverted tripod in the Leofoto range, the SO-282C relocates its twist-locks to the upper section for faster, more intuitive adjustment. The inverted leg design also increases rigidity and keeps the locking mechanisms clear of dirt and moisture, while the new twist locks feature integrated wipers that prevent debris from entering the system. This ensures smooth, dependable operation even in harsh weather conditions.

The SO-282C uses a no-column, compact apex design that offers outstanding stability without unnecessary bulk. With 28/32mm carbon tubes and a two-section leg system, the tripod extends from a minimum height of 1250mm to a maximum height of 1660mm, and folds down to just 990mm for transport. Every component is crafted from 6061-T6 aluminium alloy, known for its durability and hardness, and assembled with precision using high-quality SUS and CU parts.

Leofoto lubricates all components with premium Nichimoly lubricant from Japan, guaranteeing smooth performance in extreme temperatures from –20°C to –40°C.
