The Athena series sets itself apart with its no-centre-column compact design, significantly reducing bulk while maintaining maximum tube height. This compact apex design, coupled with the hollow-out top plate, not only makes the tripod lighter but also enhances flexibility without compromising on strength.

Safety and anti-rotation are paramount with the LA-284C, which includes three set screws on the top plate to secure the ball head firmly in place.
