Leica Passport Scheme Is Back!
We are pleased to announce the re-launch of the Leica Passport Scheme.
Under this scheme, purchases of all Leica Sport Optics products (excluding Leica Calonox) will be eligible for complimentary accidental coverage for 2 years. This is alongside the 10 year warranty offered on products or for the 2 year period of warranty on Sport Optics products with less than 10 years warranty.
Leica will repair the unit free of charge OR if the product is non-repairable, Leica will organise a replacement of equal or better condition.
The Leica Passport is issued upon first purchase of one of the following Leica Sport Optics products, supplied through Leica Camera UK or an authorised Leica Camera Ltd UK Dealer: Trinovid, Ultravid, Noctivid, Monovid, Televid ranges and Geovid Rangefinders.
Please note, for the Leica Passport to be fully validated, the owner is required to register their product to the Leica Club after purchase. You can do that by clicking HERE or on the image above.
If, during the period of cover, any part of the equipment ceases to function, or functions incorrectly, from whatever cause (including accidental damage), it will be repaired by Leica Camera Ltd free of charge. Alternatively, Leica Camera Ltd may, at its discretion, offer a replacement free of charge. In the case of special or limited-edition items which cannot be replaced, Leica Camera Ltd will endeavour to carry out repairs.
Exclusions:
The following is not covered by Passport: loss, theft, deliberate damage, cosmetic damage, water damage to Trinovid compact binoculars, damage resulting from non-Leica Camera Ltd servicing or repair, loss or damage to accessories (straps, cases etc.)
Claims under this Passport will only be dealt with by Leica Camera Ltd. Items requiring attention should be returned via an authorised Leica Camera Ltd UK Dealer, accompanied by a description of what function requires attention and the original sales receipt.
Issue of the Leica Passport does not affect your rights. International Leica Guarantee cards, issued by Leica Camera AG, Wetzlar, Germany, will continue to be included with all observation equipment. You are advised to keep the International Leica Guarantee card and produce it to an official Leica Store if your equipment requires attention while travelling abroad.
